WI Ministry Partners List

World Impact partners with various missionaries and ministries in Richmond and around the world.

Asia

  • Tim and Kim have been serving a Muslim people group for over 10 years. In early 2009 they will be relocating to a new location where they will continue to serve the same people group. They have 3 children: Andrew, Abigail and Peter.
  • Chris and Leah reach out to the growing arts community in the capital city of a east Asian country through concerts, coffeehouses and galleries. They have 2 sons: Austin and Bennett.

Hungary/Serbia

  • Overseas Council International – World Impact gives annually to assist students and staff at the Novi Sad Evangelical Seminary in Serbia.

Central America:

  • Dominican Republic: Hope Church works closely with Iglesia Shalom in Hato Mayor and their pastor Carlos Soergaard.

Worldwide:

  • Samaritan’s Purse – Each year Hope Church collects shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child. Children’s classes also raise funds for development projects in needy countries through Samaritan’s Purse. Contact Mary Freeman for details.
  • Community Bible Study International (CBSI) Wales – Our own Janet Phillips serves as a Caleb, assisting the planting of new Community Bible Studies in Wales England. JanetMorganPhillips@comcast.net

Local:

  • At Ease Ministries – Ft. Lee, VA – Each Friday evening At Ease hosts about 100+ soldiers at an on-base coffeehouse. Besides live entertainment and homecooked goodies, a Bible study is offered and volunteers are available to get to know the soldiers on a deeper level. Anyone is welcome! Contact Don Quinby.
  • Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services – provides basic human services to our Goochland County neighbors who are in need, including medical and dental services, a food bank, clothes closet and GED and ESL tutoring. www.goochlandfreeclinicandfamilyservices.org
  • Youth Life Foundation of Richmond (YLFR) – affiliated with the Darryl Green Foundation, this faith-based foundation is committed to nurturing the child, strengthening the family, and rebuilding the community. www.ylfr.org
